Three-time WNBA champion and seven-time All-Star Candace Parker put the league on blast this week for the way its treating Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark.
Clark, who is averaging 21.2 points and 8.2 assists per game this season, has been named a starter for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game. The former No. 1 pick from Iowa was in the top three in voting for fans and media members. Her peers, however, had her ranked No. 11 among all guards.
During the latest episode of her "Post Moves" podcast, Parker accused WNBA players of being insecure of Clark.
"It's also kind of crazy. Like, I wholeheartedly believe that there needs to be some rules with the WNBA players because this is getting out of hand. Caitlin Clark voted 11th best guard by WNBA players - that’s crazy," Parker said.
"I think people need to look at themselves in the mirror and realize, like, man, you got you got some insecurities if you sitting down and putting Caitlin Clark as the 11th best guard. Like, y’all, y’all need to go to a therapist and figure out what childhood issues you have, because if you’re sitting there and looking at yourself in the mirror and putting her as 11th best guard."

Is the league purposely trying to diss Caitlin Clark?
For what it's worth, Parker isn't the only notable figure in sports media ripping the WNBA for its treatment of Clark.
Fox Sports radio host Colin Cowherd made a similar complaint about the WNBA's All-Star voting during last Friday's episode of "The Herd." He claims Clark's peers are determined to keep putting her down.
“She’s the No. 1 shooter, distributor, play initiator, playmaker, and she was voted the 11th best guard in the sport,” Cowherd said. “WNBA fans voted her as the 11th best guard. The animosity towards Caitlin Clark – a lot of people are getting angry on the internet. It’s just so petty.”
At the end of the day, Clark hasn't allowed all the negative chatter to impact her play on the court. She has also done a great job staying away from hot topics like this.
