New York Giants star running back Cam Skattebo didn’t do much during his team’s Week 6 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
The Giants fell to the Saints, 34-27, at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday. New York fell to 3-2-1 on the season. The Saints, meanwhile, improved to 2-4 on the year. Skattebo had no carries and no receptions.
Following the game, the Giants running back announced that he had been punished. Skattebo had a crushing fumble in overtime during last week’s tie against the Washington Commanders.
The Giants announced that Skattebo had been punished in Week 6.
“I got punished for what I did (from last week). I understand it so I gotta be ready when coach calls my name and that wasn’t today,” he announced postgame.
“It’s hard, but I’ve made mistakes, and I got to own up to them.”

Giants head coach John Harbaugh was in no mood to discuss the Skattebo punishment following his team’s loss on Sunday.
Harbaugh got a bit testy with the reporters in the media room on Sunday afternoon.
Giants head coach speaks out on Skattebo questions
Harbaugh told reporters that he’s still trying to figure out who the guy is going to be in the running back room.
“I don’t know what else to say. That’s the best answer you can ever get on that in 1,000 years. There’s not a coach in the world that will give you a better answer than that. If you’re not thrilled with that answer, I got nothing else for you, honestly,” he told reporters.
The Giants, who still lead the NFC East, will look to bounce back moving forward.
