The Atlanta Dream made one of the biggest moves of the WNBA offseason after agreeing to a trade for Angel Reese on Monday.
Atlanta sent two first-round picks in 2027 and 2028 to Chicago in exchange for Reese. The Dream also received the rights to swap second-round picks with the Sky in 2028 as part of the deal.
Reese, who averaged 14.1 points and 12.9 rebounds in her first two years in the WNBA, is expected to further elevate a Dream team that already led the league in rebounding (36.6) last season.
The Dream were also a top-four team in scoring (84.4 points per game) in 2025, so Reese's addition should only make them a more dangerous squad.

As Atlanta continues to build a contender, however, fans couldn't help but urge the team to bring back a familiar player who also once played with Reese: Chennedy Carter.
Fans made the call in the comment section of the Dream's post about the signing of Sika Kone on Thursday. Clearly, many fans are hoping Atlanta will reunite Carter with Reese as the front office builds out the roster.
"Go sign Chennedy Carter!" a commenter wrote. Another one said, "If you really want a ring… Chennedy Carter is the real deal!!!"
"Barbie needs her Chenn," a fan added.
A supporter noted, "Chennedy Carter next."
"BRING BACK CHEN," a follower demanded. A sixth poster declared, "Chennedy Carter will seal the deal for the ring!!!"
Carter was actually drafted by the Dream in the first round of the 2020 WNBA Draft, but she was traded after two seasons following a tumultuous run with the franchise. Carter played just 11 games in the 2021 campaign after being suspended indefinitely by Atlanta.
However, it's not surprising why fans want to pair up Carter and Reese again. The 27-year-old point guard actually had her best year when she played alongside Reese with the Sky in 2024, averaging career-highs of 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals, on top of 3.1 assists.
Carter didn't play in the WNBA in 2025, spending the season overseas.
