Indiana Fever rookie Raven Johnson has an unpleasant history with Caitlin Clark. In fact, in an interview in March, Johnson shared how she almost quit basketball because of her viral moment with the then-Iowa Hawkeyes star.
To recall, in the 2023 NCAA tournament, the Iowa Hawkeyes faced the South Carolina Gamecocks in the Final Four. During their game, Clark was seen dismissively waving off Johnson, who was wide open from behind the 3-point arc.
According to Johnson, she was bashed and bullied after Clark's gesture went viral online.
Now that Johnson and Clark are teammates, though, they have gotten to know each other better and have put their past behind them.

Clark said as much in her appearance on the "Post Moves" podcast hosted by Fever teammate Aliyah Boston and WNBA legend Candace Parker.
While discussing how Clark took out South Carolina in that 2023 game by dropping 41 points, Boston and Clark shared how they have moved on and just joke about it whenever the topic comes up.
Clark proceeded to say how no one really knows other players until they become teammates. That being said, she has learned a lot about Johnson ever since the Fever selected her with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.
"Raven's great. She's so fun, running in our locker room," Clark said of the Fever rookie.
For what it's worth, Johnson herself has been full of compliments for Clark ever since they became teammates. During training camp, the defensive-minded guard shared how the All-Star playmaker helped her "through all the hard times."
It's also clear that Johnson and Clark have gotten closer since becoming teammates, with the former even calling the third-year guard "Mamacita" recently.
