Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever suffered an early WNBA playoff exit, losing to the Las Vegas Aces in the first round.
While Clark and company were able to force a Game 3 after dominating in Game 2 at home, they simply couldn’t slow down A’ja Wilson, who had 36 points and 10 rebounds in the do-or-die showdown on Thursday.
Clark had 18 points, two rebounds, four assists, two steals and four blocks for Indiana in the team’s 94-83 loss. Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever in scoring with 23 points, albeit on 7-of-23 shooting.
While it was certainly a disappointing loss for the Fever, Clark didn’t let it stop her from fulfilling her off-court commitments and making an impact outside the WNBA.

Just a couple of days following the Fever’s playoff exit, Clark returned to Iowa City on Saturday as the Iowa Hawkeyes hosted the Ohio State Buckeyes for a college football showdown. The Fever star served as the celebrity guest picker for ESPN’s “College GameDay” broadcast.
Clark, naturally, watched the game as well. What made it heartwarming was the fact that she shared the moment with kids from the Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Clark and the kids even joined the iconic Iowa Wave.
Fans were quick to heap praise on Clark, with one even commenting, “An athlete with grace and compassion. Bless her.”
“Very few people can inspire people like that,” a supporter added. Another one said, “The best college tradition with the classiest player of all time. Way to go CC. Take care of those kids.”
“Awesome,” a follower wrote.
A fan stated, “So wholesome and heartwarming.”
“Love this. Such an inspiration,” a social media user shared.
