Sophie Cunninghamstole the spotlight by serving as a UFC ring girl on Saturday. Her surprise appearance went viral and garnered a lot of reactions, including from Caitlin Clark.
The superstar guard shared her thoughts about her Indiana Fever teammate's recent activity. Clark made an honest admission about Cunningham's appearance at UFC 329.
"Yeah, it's obviously really cool," Clark said. "I honestly wasn't watching the fights. I was trying to follow the best I could on my phone. I don't even know if I have Paramount Plus. I probably don't subscribe to that. So I don't know. I wasn't going to pay for another subscription.
"And Sophie didn't tell me she was doing that. I knew she was going to the fight, but I didn't know she was doing that. I don't know if she even knew she was doing that when she walked in the door. But it was still fun to see. "
Despite earning millions of dollars with her WNBA contract and endorsement deals, Clark admitted that she wasn't willing to spend anything on another streaming subscription — not even for Cunningham's big night.

Nevertheless, Clark didn't miss her teammate's moment in the sun. After all, Cunningham went completely viral with her ring girl stint.
Clark stressed that she liked seeing Cunningham's change of pace and added that she could do it again or perhaps even become a UFC fighter one day.
"Obviously, it's cool that people love it and shows like people are really paying attention to the WNBA and players that we have and the personalities we have across this league," Clark said. "It's certainly fun. ... Maybe we'll see her do more of it. Who knows? Maybe she'll be a UFC fighter at one point. I don't know. That's up to Sophie."
Cunningham held the Round 1 card before the co-main event clash between Paddy Pimblet and Benoit Saint Denis.
The veteran WNBA guard was in Las Vegas with the Fever. They faced the Aces on the road on Sunday and won 109-75. Cunningham contributed 20 points built on six three-pointers. Her production backed Kelsey Mitchell, who scored 27 points, while Clark added 12 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.
