Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever and Paige Bueckers of the Dallas Wings are both known for their tenacity and fierce spirit while playing on the court. Clark has been explosive on offense during the 2026 WNBA season, with the 6-foot-0 guard third in the league in scoring at 22.1 points per game and first with 8.3 assists per game.
Bueckers is another young star, having been drafted No. 1 overall in the first round of the 2025 WNBA Draft. Bueckers, along with Clark, was an All-Star starter for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game. The 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year is averaging 20.5 points per game, along with 4.1 rebounds and 5.8 assists.

On Thursday, Clark and the Fever played Bueckers and the Wings in a matchup between two young WNBA stars. Near the end of the first half, with 5.4 seconds remaining until halftime, Clark is dribbling at the top of the key with Bueckers defending her. Bueckers grabs and hangs onto Clark’s arm, and then continues to push Clark. The incident did not result in a foul.
The two get tangled up, with the Fever guard pushing Bueckers back, not taking kindly to the interaction. Fans immediately jumped on social media to comment on the moment.
“Paige Bueckers is the face of the WNBA she can do whatever she’s wants.” commented a Paige-superfan.
“Paige getting handsy then tells Caitlin to chill lmao,” joked a user.
“Inital push from clark before paige grabbed the 1st time,” said a fan.
“Paige grabbing her arm cause she can’t play defense 😭😭😭,” replied a user.
“Clark don’t want it with Paige,” noted another Paige fan.
“Just ask next time if they want to dance,” said a fan in reply.
Indiana will next face the New York Liberty on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET, while Dallas will next host the Seattle Storm at the College Park Center on Sunday at 4 p.m. ET.
