Sydney Colson is facing criticism for her recent comments about Alyssa Thomas' Flagrant 2 foul on Caitlin Clark. Colson made it clear that she believes it shouldn't have been assessed as such, and many fans blasted her on social media.
The veteran guard was Clark's teammate last year with the Indiana Fever. However, she is now a free agent after Indiana decided not to renew her one-year deal.
Colson appeared on "WNBA Countdown" on Sunday and shared her honest thoughts on the Clark-Thomas incident.
"Do I think it was a Flagrant 2? Not at all," Colson said." But I also grew up in an era where it's very physical and this was the least of what I would consider a Flagrant 2."
Fans reacted strongly in the comments section of espnW's post.

To be fair, plenty of fans also agreed with Colson's blunt take. They commended the former Fever guard for her honesty despite her connection to Clark.
Thomas was handed a one-game suspension. She served it on Saturday during the Toronto Tempo game and will be eligible to play in the Phoenix Mercury's next matchup.
