Caitlin Clark's health has evidently become the No. 1 topic in the WNBA for the second season in a row.

Before Wednesday night's game against the Portland Fire, the Indiana Fever ruled out Clark due to back soreness. This news infuriated the fan base in large part because there was no prior warning about a back injury. In fact, the former No. 1 pick wasn't even on the injury report.

"She's healthy," Fever coach Stephanie White said. "We're not managing anything. This is just a back issue that we want to make sure we give the time to be ready.

White continued, "Not everybody that doesn't practice or gets a pro day is on the injury report. That happens all the time. And she wasn't listed on the injury report earlier because we expected her to play."

Well, those comments from White are looking awfully funny now. The Fever have officially added Clark to their injury report this Thursday.

Clark is listed as probable for Friday's game against the Golden State Valkyries.

A final decision on Clark's status will most likely be made no earlier than Friday afternoon.

Fever fans are losing patience.

After seeing injuries derail Clark's 2025 season, Fever fans are worried this back injury could linger all year.

"Oh so now y'all wanna follow protocol and list her on the injury report," one fan said.

"No injury yesterday to probable," a second fan wrote. "Lies, lies, lies out of SW mouth. One day CC will be able to tell the truth. I can not wait for her trade and truth."

"So she IS injured," another fan replied. "Good to know. Hopefully this isn't some sort of chronic back injury."

"I'm putting aside tons of money to be ready once Clark gets off this team. Then spending said money with the new team," a fan declared.

If Clark is ruled out for Friday's game, Indiana fans may legitimately start boycotting home games.

Tipoff for the Valkyries-Fever game is at 7:30 p.m. ET.
