Raven Johnson has had a rather up-and-down rookie season with the Indiana Fever. In 39 games played during the regular season, she averaged 3.1 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
Johnson started the campaign on a good note, averaging 14.7 minutes in her first 22 games. The 10th overall pick of the 2026 WNBA Draft had a significant role as a defense-first guard and put up 4.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.5 steals over that span.
However, in the final 17 games she played in the regular season, her role decreased drastically and she averaged just 1.6 points, 0.6 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 0.4 steals in 6.0 minutes per game.
In three games in the playoffs, though, head coach Stephanie White used Johnson a lot. In fact, in Game 1 against the Las Vegas Aces, she played nearly 22 minutes and put up 14 points, one assist and two steals.

While it was far from an ideal season for the Fever rookie, she was appreciative of the year she had. On Sunday, she even posted several photos of herself to reflect on her first season in the WNBA.
Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham, for their part, showed their love and support for Johnson.
“So proud of u,” Clark wrote in the comment section.
Cunningham, meanwhile, heaped major praise on Johnson, saying, “You’re such a light! Love you.”
Several other Fever players commented on Johnson’s post, including Tyasha Harris who shared, “Love you Rae baeee.”
“Aw look at her glow,” Myisha Hines-Allen stated.
“all grown up,” Makayla Timpson noted.
It will certainly be interesting to see how Johnson continues to grow her game with the Fever next season. With supportive teammates such as Clark and Cunningham serving as mentors as well, the 23-year-old guard is definitely in good hands.
