Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham, after missing the 2025 semifinals appearance with injuries, couldn’t help guide the Indiana Fever to a 2nd-round berth in the 2026 WNBA Playoffs. On Tuesday, the Fever suffered a Game 3 loss to A’ja Wilson and the defending champion Las Vegas Aces, losing the first-round series 2-1 and ending their season.
And just a couple of days after their Game 3 loss, numerous players took part in exit interviews. This included forwards Aliyah Boston and Makayla Timpson, along with guards Kelsey Mitchell and Lexie Hull. Even head coach Stephanie White and general manager Amber Cox spoke to the media as well.
However, while the other stars on the team had their exit interviews, Clark and Cunningham decided against one on Saturday, likely doing theirs later, taking in some college football instead.

Instead, Clark made her way back to where she played college basketball as the No. 14 Iowa Hawkeyes fell to the No. 5 Ohio State Buckeyes 31-14, Iowa’s first loss of the 2026 season. Clark also appeared on ESPN’s “College GameDay” as the celebrity guest picker, while joining a children’s hospital for the Hawkeyes wave during the game.
Cunningham, on the other hand, went back to her alma mater as well, and had much more luck than Clark, as her No. 25 Missouri Tigers took down the. No. 8 Florida Gators. And Cunningham not only got to greet many fans throughout the game, but even got a welcome onto Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium (Columbia, Missouri).
While Clark and Cunningham had their fun on Saturday, they will likely be scheduling one soon, but no date has been announced at the time of this article.
Cunningham has now finished her second year with the Fever and will head into the offseason as a free agent. Clark, meanwhile, has one year remaining on her four-year rookie deal.
