Caitlin Clark has rejoined Lexie Hull and the rest of their Indiana Fever teammates following her Team USA stint at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. Clark won a gold medal with the national squad along with teammate Aliyah Boston and coach Stephanie White. She helped lead Team USA to a dominant 6-0 run in the prestigious international tournament.
Clark marked her return with the Fever with an awesome gesture for her teammates. She gifted them with her Nike signature shoes, the Caitlin 1, which is set to hit the market on Oct. 1.
Hull immediately put them on and wore them to Wednesday’s team practice. The Fever posted a photo of the veteran in her new kicks, which drew a reaction from Clark.
“Dang shoes r lookin fire,” Clark commented.
Clark also shared Hull’s Instagram story wherein the latter flexed her blue Caitlin 1s. “finalllllly @caitlinclark22,” wrote Hull in the caption.
Clark, Hull and the rest of the Fever are currently preparing for the resumption of the WNBA season. Wednesday marked Clark, Boston and White’s first practice with the team after the World Cup.
The Fever are set to return to action on Friday. They will travel to Canada to face the Toronto Tempo, with tipoff from Coca-Cola Coliseum scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
Indiana enters that matchup with a 26-14 record and sits fifth in the standings. Clark and Co. have four games remaining in the regular season to potentially improve on their seeding heading into the WNBA playoffs.
Depending on how the final stretch plays out, the Fever can finish as high as No. 2 and as low as No. 8.
