The Fever are ready for action on Sunday
Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White told ESPN that she’s absolutely amped up for playoff basketball.
“When the ball goes up in a game, I love it,” White said. “I love the chess match. I love the intensity. I love the competition. I love putting players in positions to try to be successful.”
White knows that all eyes will be on her and the Fever.
“There’s an infatuation with our team, and there’s an infatuation with some of our players, and there’s a lot of negativity that surrounds anything that’s different from what the fandom wants to see,” White added. “And that is challenging as a coach to navigate.”
Of course, there are challenges with that.
“I think the vortex of everything that we deal with, with our team and our franchise, is definitely challenging,” White says. “It’s hard to escape it.”
But everything will go quiet if the Fever can block out the noise and take down the Las Vegas Aces in the first round of the WNBA Playoffs on Sunday.
Game 1 will tip off at 4 p.m. E.T. It’ll air live on ESPN. Who are you taking in this pivotal first round WNBA Playoff series?
