Caitlin Clark and the Fever ended their two-game slump with an 83-71 win against Atlanta Dream on Thursday.
Following this home win, the Fever’s social media team posted several clips from the game, including one of Clark.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Indiana published Clark’s celebration after swishing a three-pointer against Angel Reese and Co.
But the 24-year-old playmaker had a humorous reaction to her in-game jubilation, leaving a comment on the same post. Clark could not help but poke fun at her own appearance in the photo.
“Why I always look translucent,” Clark wrote.
This celebration was a fitting reaction to this outstanding win, which opened their Commissioner’s Cup the right way. However, Clark was also concerned about how she looked in the photo.
Rookie teammate Justine Pissott suggested that Clark needed some self-tan. The two-time All-Star responded, saying, "or they can just use a different filter."
Clark concluded the game with 17 points, seven boards, and eight dimes to help orchestrate their offense.
Aside from her, teammates Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston also carried the team's offensive load with totals of 25 and 19 points, respectively. Mitchell also joined the exclusive 5,000-point club of WNBA players, becoming the 28th player to do so.
It was a great bounce-back game for the former No. 1 overall pick after her awful performance against the Portland Fire on May 30. Clark also improved her record against rival Angel Reese to 5-1 in their head-to-head career matchup since entering the league in 2024.
With this latest win, the Fever improved their regular-season record to 5-4. Clark and Indiana will return to action on Saturday when they face the New York Liberty at the Barclays Center.
They aim to sustain their momentum and move toward their goal of becoming the first team in WNBA history to win back-to-back Commissioner’s Cup titles.
