Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever and Paige Bueckers of the Dallas Wings have teamed up for the 2026 FIBA World Cup in Germany. As Clark and Team USA practice and prepare for their first game against Team China on Saturday, reporters eagerly awaited the opions of the stars about one another.
Both stars spoke on each other and how they mesh together. On the social media website X, a video clip was posted showing both Clark and Paige discussing one another while the United States had practice. They spoke on their court chemistry together, with the first clip being of Clark, who spoke on how fun it is to play with Bueckers, how impressive she is off the ball and at cutting, and how she has a natural feel for the game.

Paige was asked the same question and responded with how natural and organic the dynamic is, how it feels like they just played together, and how she is incentivized to move off the ball.
“I mean, honestly, it’s really fun to play with Paige,” Clark said in the video. “I’ve grown up playing against her and with her since a very young age, so it’s a very fun experience to be here. She’s one of the best off-ball players in the league. She cuts really well, and she has great feel for the game.”
“We have great on-court chemistry,” Paige added on Clark. “It’s natural and organic. It’s been a while since we played together, but it’s almost like no time has passed. Obviously, with Caitlin, you want to run the floor, be a great wing, move off the ball.”
Team USA will play its first game of the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup against China on Friday, Sept. 4, at 8:15 a.m. ET.
