Iowa Hawkeyes legend Caitlin Clark gifted her former team with fresh pairs of her new Nike signature Caitlin 1 shoes.
Clark made a move outside the WNBA one day after the Indiana Fever crashed out of the WNBA playoffs. They lost to the defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces, in Game 3 of their first-round matchup, 94-83.
Clark gifted the Hawkeyes with her signature shoes, which were released on Thursday. Iowa head coach Jan Jensen delivered the news to her team during practice.
Every player on the team received the yellow “Warning Code” colorway, featuring a textured Yellow Zest and Soft Yellow Opticast upper, cream-colored laces, a Racer Blue outsole and layered Swooshes in blue, black and green.
The 57-year-old head coach also teased her players with other Caitlin 1s colorways they’ll receive throughout the season. “We’re going to get a few more colors,” Jensen added.
Clark holds the record for the most points (3,951) and assists (1,144) in Iowa’s collegiate program history.
She spent four years with the team, and although she didn’t win a national championship, Clark still led the Hawkeyes to two consecutive title games in 2023 and 2024.
The 24-year-old star is coming off another incredible WNBA season with the Fever, averaging 22.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 8.3 assists across 40 regular-season games.
They entered the playoffs as the sixth seed but ultimately fell in the first round to the defending champions, Las Vegas, in three games.
