When Caitlin Clark arrived in the WNBA as the Indiana Fever’s No. 1 overall pick, she quickly established herself as a legitimate superstar. She averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game en route to winning Rookie of the Year.
Clark also made history during her first year in the WNBA. Aside from setting the single-season record for assists at the time, she also set the rookie records for points and 3-pointers.
The Fever guard even became the first WNBA rookie to record two triple-doubles, all while having the most double-doubles ever by a rookie guard, per ESPN.

Unfortunately, Clark recently lost one of her historic milestones to Olivia Miles.
The Minnesota Lynx star exploded for 24 points and seven assists to help the team beat the Washington Mystics on Friday, 94-84. With her performance, she officially breached the 700-point and 200-assist marks.
According to Bleacher Report, Miles has now surpassed Clark as the fastest player to reach 700 points and 200 assists, doing so in 36 games. Clark achieved the milestone in 37 games.

Clark is also now on track to lose the rookie scoring record to Miles. The Fever All-Star had 769 points in 2024, while Miles is already at 720 points this campaign.
Miles is averaging 20.0 points per game, and with six games left to play, she is expected to breach the 800-point mark before the season ends. It’s worth noting that Clark set the record in a 40-game season, while Miles’ rookie season comes with a 44-game schedule.
If there is one rookie record that Miles won’t be able to touch, it’s Clark’s assists tally. The Fever playmaker had 337 assists in her first year, while Miles has only 222 dimes so far.
