Caitlin Clark and her former Iowa Hawkeyes teammates continue to share a strong bond. They spent time together after the Indiana Fever-Los Angeles Sparks game on Saturday, and Gabbie Marshall posted a photo on her Instagram story.
The former Hawkeyes point guard tagged everyone in the snap on Sunday. She also added a sticker that read, "My People." Clark sat beside her in the middle, wearing a blue hoodie and jeans. Marshall wore a white jacket and black jogging pants.
Also in the photo was Sparks guard Kate Martin, who, like Clark, did not see action on Saturday. Seven others joined them.
"The best weekend w/ my favs❤️," Marshall wrote.
Caitlin Clark, Former Iowa Teammates Took Different Paths
Marshall retired from playing basketball after her final season with Iowa. She decided to further her education by pursuing her master's degree in occupational therapy at the University of North Carolina. The Ohio native also announced her engagement to her long-time boyfriend, Spencer Touro, in February.
Martin, on the other hand, entered the WNBA in 2024, at the same time as Clark. The Las Vegas Aces selected 18th overall. She played with the Golden State Valkyries last season before joining the Sparks this year. She is currently on a Developmental Contract with L.A.
Meanwhile, Clark has established herself as the most popular player in the WNBA. She has drawn huge crowds to arenas across the country and has helped grow the league's popularity. The 24-year-old won the Rookie of the Year award in 2024, earned two-time All-Star selections and received an All-WNBA first-team nod in her first year.
She has set her sights on leading the Fever to a championship. They started this season slowly, splitting their first 10 games. However, they've shown flashes of brilliance and demonstrated why they were considered one of the preseason title favorites.
Clark missed Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Sparks but has a chance to return to action on July 5 versus the Las Vegas Aces.
