The WNBA’s biggest star might also be the WNBA’s biggest NFL fan as Caitlin Clark shared on social media this week.
Taking to X on Monday morning, Clark wished her beloved Kansas City Chiefs “good luck” ahead of their marquee Monday Night Football game against the Denver Broncos.
“WE ARE BACK!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!! (Chiefs),” she wrote on X, tagging the team and sharing a few heart emojis.
Chiefs fans were certainly happy to learn that Clark was one of them:
“I didn’t even know you was part of the kingdom you so tuff queen,” one user wrote in her replies.
“That’s why you’re my favorite WNBA player of all time, Go Chiefs,” wrote another.
“Please tell me Coach Reid, and Travis Kelce will be rocking the CC1s,” a third begged.
“And she’s a Chiefs fan? Yeah she the goat.”

A Happy Tuesday
If Clark was excited on Monday then she must be downright giddy on Tuesday. After getting swept by the Denver Broncos in 2025 and losing three straight to them dating back to Week 18 in 2024, the Chiefs finally got some long-sought revenge with an emphatic 31-10 win over their AFC West rivals in Week 1.
Patrick Mahomes, returning from last season’s major knee injury, had 184 passing yards, two touchdowns and an interception. But the real star of the show was reigning Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III, who had 23 carries for a whopping 173 yards and a touchdown on the ground, along with Mahomes’ second touchdown pass, which sealed the game early in the fourth quarter.
For the longest time the Chiefs have largely found success in spite of their run game. The team hasn’t ranked in the top-15 for rushing yards since before Mahomes started playing for the Chiefs.
Now that they have a star running back, perhaps the Chiefs will enjoy a level of balance that they haven’t had in this era.
