Caitlin Clark is not yet fully recovered from the back injury that cost her two games recently and she has already sustained another injury.
Clark returned on July 8 against the Los Angeles Sparks after sustaining a back injury during a June 24 game against the Phoenix Mercury. However, she remains on a minutes restriction as she works to rebuild her endurance.
During Wednesday's game against the Golden State Valkyries, unfortunately, Clark took a knee to her quad while attacking the basket in the second quarter.
Valkyries center Kiah Stokes tried to block Clark, but she hit the Fever All-Star with her knee, causing her to fall after making the shot. No foul was called on the play, which eventually sparked a heated reaction from Clark.

Clark, who limped after the incident, admitted in her postgame press conference that she played with a contusion in her leg for the rest of the contest.
Naturally, it sparked concerns about her status for the team's next outing. The Fever have back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday against the Seattle Storm and New York Liberty, respectively.
Fortunately, Clark doesn't seem bothered by her injury.
"We'll just rub it out. She's fine, yeah," Clark said with a smile when a reporter mentioned her contusion. "Shake knuckles on it and call it a day."
The Fever have yet to make a decision on whether Clark will play in both of their upcoming back-to-back games as she continues her recovery from her back injury. Nonetheless, it won't be surprising if the team decides to let her rest in one of those contests considering the hits she constantly takes.
