The Indiana Fever defeated the Phoenix Mercury, 92-89, during Thursday's game in Arizona. While there were several highlight plays from the showdown, one particular defensive stop stood out to Clark.
The Fever were down by 10 points, 79-69, with 5:36 left to play in the final quarter. However, they clawed their way back and turned things around behind a gritty effort from the team.
Tyasha Harris stepped up big time for Indiana, scoring nine of her 15 points in the crucial fourth quarter. Kelsey Mitchell, who exploded for 29 points, also hit several big shots, including a tough layup with 10 seconds left to give Indiana a 90-89 lead.
The biggest play of the game, though, came from Fever backup forward Makayla Timpson. With 4:36 remaining in the fourth and the Mercury ahead 79-72, Kahleah Copper had a chance to extend Phoenix's lead as she attacked the basket.
Timpson, however, was there to stop her. The 23-year-old timed her jump perfectly to block Copper and allow the Fever to gain possession. The play was a huge turning point for Indiana, as the team went on an 8-0 run immediately afterward to make it a tight game.

Following their victory, the Fever shared a video showing various angles of Timpson's game-changing block.
Clark, who missed the game as a result of her lingering back injury, was simply in disbelief at the play and even shared the Fever's video on her Instagram story.
"My goodness," Clark wrote in the caption of her post.
For what it's worth, it's not only Clark who was impressed by Timpson's huge block. Head coach Stephanie White also made sure to point it out during her postgame presser and highlighted how it gave the Fever the "juice" they needed.
"Man, we got to give KK a lot of love. That hell of a block that she had that started that on the defensive end of the floor. I mean those big-time plays give you a little juice, and she gave it to us."
