Caitlin Clark and Team USA have arrived in Berlin, Germany, to compete in the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. And the United States opened the tournament with a group-stage matchup against China on Friday morning before facing Italy on Sunday and the Czech Republic on Monday.

Prior to joining Team USA, Clark and the Indiana Fever were riding a two-game winning streak entering the WNBA break, jumping to 26-14 on the 2026 season after a 111-91 win over the Connecticut Sun on Friday. But the Fever will have to wait until Sept. 18 for their next matchup, hitting the road to face the Toronto Tempo.

Clark has continued her stellar play into her third WNBA season. In 36 games played, the former Iowa Hawkeyes star is averaging 22.5 points on 45.6% shooting, 3.9 rebounds and 8.4 assists in 31.3 minutes per game.

Clark’s 22.5 points per game is the third-highest in the WNBA this year, trailing Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson (26.0) and her Indiana teammate Kelsey Mitchell (25.0). In fact, Clark is the only WNBA point guard to average that many points since Houston Comets legend Cynthia Cooper-Dyke averaged 22.7 in 1998.

Not only that, but with her 8.4 assists per game, Clark is creating a total of 41.4 points per game, which would mark the most in WNBA history.

With her dominant 2026 season, Clark has become a favorite to win the 2026 WNBA MVP award, sitting with the fourth-best odds on FanDuel Sportsbook at +8000. Ahead of her are Wilson (-1250), Minnesota Lynx rookie Olivia Miles (+800) and Mitchell (+4500).

And the Fever are campaigning for Clark to win the first MVP award of her career, giving the star point guard a new nickname on social media in the process: “MVCC.”

“MVCC 😈,” the Indiana Fever wrote on X. “Caitlin Clark is averaging a career high 22.5 PPG (No. 3 in WNBA), the highest single season scoring average by a WNBA point guard this century‼️ AND she’s creating 41.4 points per game, on track to become the first player in WNBA history to create more than 40 points per game for an entire season 🤯”

Clark and the Fever will return to WNBA action against the Sun on Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
