There was no shortage of action for Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Wednesday night as they faced off against the Golden State Valkyries.
Indiana hosted Golden State in its first home game following a successful four-game road trip. The Fever went 3-1 on the road and entered Wednesday's matchup looking to make it three consecutive victories.
At one point in the tightly contested battle, Clark had an intense conversation with a game official. The Fever star was clearly incensed over what she believed was an erroneous call. As always, the 24-year-old was not afraid to speak her mind.
The incident quickly drew significant online attention, and fans on social media had plenty to say about Clark's behavior. The three-time All-Star is now facing backlash on X after her latest on-court outburst.
"Woah she is undisciplined! Keep your composure on to the next play smh not surprised by her kind of player," a comment read.
"She should have been ejected for that. And I'm a big fan," another said.
"Throw her [expletive] out. So sick of her antics," a user wrote.
"She always yells at the refs and never get T’d up," a viewer pointed out.
"She used to be known for hoops, now it’s just her screaming at refs," accused another.
"She cry’s too much just play the damn game," a reaction read.
Clark did not receive a technical on the play, despite her blatant complaining. That would have been her sixth tech of the season as she approaches the threshold for an automatic one-game suspension for eight technical fouls.
The Fever did not have enough to outlast the Valkyries on Wednesday night. They suffered an 88-75 home loss, dropping to 14-10 on the season.
Clark struggled with her shot, going just 4-of-14 for 13 points. She added three rebounds, six assists, a steal, one block and a three-pointer in 26 minutes of action.
