Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese may have been pitted against each other as rivals in the WNBA. This March, however, they are going to be teammates for the second time in their pro careers.

Both young stars, who previously teamed up in the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game, are part of the Team USA roster for the upcoming FIBA Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournament. The squad has already made the trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where the competition will be held.

On Monday, Team USA already held its opening run in the city and shared videos from its practice session.

Considering the popularity of both Clark and Reese, fans were quick to react to the videos of their plays shared by Team USA.

Clark's main highlight from the Team USA post was a 3-pointer off a pass from Paige Bueckers. Many expressed excitement to see the two pair up in the backcourt.

"PB to CC !!! This backcourt duo," a commenter shared.

"Paige To CC," a second poster wrote, along with an emoji showing a face with open mouth.

"Let’s go CC," a fan added.

As for Reese, she showed her soft touch under the basket in one play, scoring with a hook shot despite being heavily guarded.

"Angel’s shot is looking [Expletive] GOOOOD!!! The ladies gel so WELL together as a supporter this is what you LOVE to see. Weds can’t come fast enough," a poster noted.

A fifth social media user stated, "AR9 aka USA Barbie is looking really good."

"Angel always going hard. That was a tough bucket. Let's go Barbie," a supporter highlighted.

It will certainly be interesting to see Clark and Reese play alongside each other and help Team USA dominate in the World Cup Qualifiers.

Clark has career averages of 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Her playmaking and sharpshooting will certainly be major weapons for the Americans.

As for Reese, she is a double-double machine who has a knack for rebounding. She has career averages of 14.1 points and 12.9 rebounds, giving her Team USA teammates plenty of assurance that they can rely on her to control the glass.

The FIBA Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournament starts on Wednesday (March 11) and lasts until next Tuesday, March 17.
