The Milwaukee Bucks have had an eventful NBA trade deadline as the team finds itself in a difficult situation. Milwaukee does not have much control over its future draft picks, so the organization has repeatedly gone all in trying to build around Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Unfortunately for the Bucks, it now appears Antetokounmpo may be on his way out the door, as he recently spoke with the front office about potentially moving on.
Naturally, there are many suitors for Antetokounmpo given the legacy he has built across 13 years with the Bucks, and he would make any contender an NBA Finals favorite if acquired.
The 31-year-old forward is a two-time MVP, nine-time All-Star, nine-time All-NBA selection, five-time All-Defensive Team member and the driving force behind Milwaukee’s 2021 NBA championship.

However, despite all of this, Antetokounmpo remained with the Bucks when Thursday’s trade deadline passed as the team decided not to trade the Greek superstar.
That could benefit Milwaukee, as the NBA offseason will likely bring more suitors, more time to find the perfect trade partner and a clearer path toward entering a new era.
Still, that moment is months away, and Antetokounmpo has repeatedly stated how much he still enjoys Milwaukee. So when the deadline passed, he took to social media to express his excitement.
He reposted a scene from the movie The Wolf of Wall Street where the main character announces he is not leaving the company to his colleagues. Antetokounmpo added his own caption that read, “Legends don’t chase. They attract 💯😎.”
With Antetokounmpo set to play the rest of the regular season in Milwaukee, both sides would benefit from him staying on the floor once he returns. The Bucks are currently outside the playoff picture, as Antetokounmpo has appeared in only 30 games and is recovering from a right calf strain.
When he has played, he has remained as impactful as ever. He has averaged 28.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists while shooting 64.5% from the field and 39.5% from beyond the arc.
His dominance comes from a rare blend of size, speed, strength, coordination and relentless downhill pressure, allowing him to overwhelm defenders, collapse defenses and dictate matchups in ways few players ever can.
If he returns healthy and motivated, Milwaukee’s season still has a chance to stabilize, even as the franchise prepares for a potentially transformative summer.
