Bubba Wallace had a disappointing finish on Sunday.
The 23XI Racing driver saw his teammate, Tyler Reddick, take home the checkered flag at the Daytona 500 on Sunday. Reddick gave Michael Jordan his first NASCAR Cup Series Daytona 500 victory. However, Wallace had a tough finish, despite racing well for much of the day.
Wallace, driving the No. 23 car, actually led the most laps of any driver on Sunday. However, he was unable to come up with a big finish for the win.

Wallace was understandably frustrated by his lack of a win on Sunday, though he gave congratulations to his teammate and his team owner, Michael Jordan.
“Man, I don’t know what to say,” Wallace told FOX Sports after the race. “First of all, hats off to the 45 group. I don’t want my emotions to take away from the monumental day they just accomplished. Happy birthday, MJ. That’s a massive birthday present.”
Wallace told Fox Sports he thought it could be his day
Wallace told Fox Sports following the race that he thought it could've been his day on Sunday afternoon.
“I thought this was our week, the best 500 I’ve ever had, and come up short, (stinks),” Wallace said. “But couldn’t be more proud of the team. … Led a lot of laps, lap leader, I believe. It was a good day for us, but damn. Try again next year.”
It was a promising start to the year for Wallace, but he'll look to finish moving forward.
