Bronny James made an appearance for the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. After failing to get off the bench in L.A.’s last three games, the 6-foot-2 shooting guard logged 25 minutes, finishing with 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting, three rebounds, six assists, a block and two three pointers.
It was a strong outing for James. In the end, however, it did not matter much. The Lakers suffered another blowout loss, 136-108.
Wembanyama had his way against a Lakers side that was missing all five starters due to various injuries. The Spurs superstar went off for 40 points on 13-of-20 from the floor, 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals, a block and four three-pointers in just 26 minutes.

James’ 25 minutes marked a season-high for the second-year guard. This comes just one day after he was assigned to the NBA G League and then called back the same day.
After the game, James spoke candidly about facing Wembanyama. The Lakers guard acknowledged how difficult it was facing off against the Spurs phenom.
"It's something nuts for sure," James said. "I'm one of the smaller guys on the floor guarding the tallest guy in the league. It's definitely a challenge, but I'm up for anything."
James and the Lakers suffered their second straight loss after their blowout against San Antonio. They dropped to 32-21 and remain fifth in the Western Conference.
L.A. has one final game before the All-Star break. They host Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks in a home game at Crypto.com Arena on Thursday.
