Brock Lesnar gave fans a rare look at himself away from the wrestling ring when he attended the University of Minnesota’s M Club Hall of Fame ceremony. The former WWE Champion showed up in a suit and glasses, and the unfamiliar look quickly became the subject of jokes among fans on Instagram.
Lesnar was inducted into the M Club Hall of Fame on October 2 as part of Minnesota’s 2026 class. While the honor recognized his collegiate wrestling career, the photos from the ceremony gave fans something else to talk about, with several people focusing on how different Lesnar looked in formal clothes.
One fan joked about the change in appearance, writing:
“Lmao he looks like a Math teacher 😂”
Another took the joke a step further:
“Looks like a professor in quantum chemistry of F5 😂”
Lesnar’s size also became a talking point after fans saw him standing alongside the other people in the photo. One commenter wrote:
“How are these women the same height and taller than him? Heels. Amazon women.”
Another fan appeared surprised by the difference in perspective, commenting:
“Why does Brock Lesnar look small here. He was supposed to be huge”
A separate comment focused on the idea of an academic version of The Beast:
“Intellect Brock Lesnar would be an interesting character”
One more fan had a similar reaction to the height difference:
“How girls on photo are more tall than him?”
The comments offered a very different reaction to Lesnar than the one fans usually have when they see him in WWE. Instead of the imposing heavyweight walking toward the ring, the photo showed him dressed for a formal university ceremony, giving fans an opportunity to see a side of him that rarely appears publicly.
Brock Lesnar’s Minnesota Honor Comes After His WWE Retirement

Lesnar’s appearance came shortly after he ended his professional wrestling career. He wrestled Oba Femi inside Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam on August 1 in Minneapolis, with Femi defeating him after a lengthy battle before “The Beast Incarnate” embraced his opponent and called him the future of WWE.
His latest honor dates back much further. Lesnar wrestled for Minnesota from 1998 to 2000 after transferring from Bismarck Junior College and finished with a 55-3 record and 23 pins. He won the 2000 NCAA heavyweight championship after finishing runner-up the previous year, while also becoming a two-time All-American and two-time Big Ten champion.
That collegiate success came before Lesnar’s WWE and UFC careers, but it remains a significant part of his athletic resume. The M Club induction gave him a chance to return to the university where that part of his career began, while the photos from the event offered wrestling fans a much less familiar version of The Beast.
