Brittany Mahomes is showing love for Sophie Cunningham heading into a pivotal Game 3 on Thursday evening.
The Las Vegas Aces will be hosting the Indiana Fever in a do-or-die Game 3 on Thursday night. The Aces fell to the Fever in Game 2 in Indiana. The game was marred by A’ja Wilson’s confrontation with a “pointing” fan late in the fourth quarter. Wilson was T’d up, but not ejected for her behavior.
“If I see a man come at me, taking steps toward me and pointing at me, I don’t give a damn what you said. I don’t give a damn how you said it, the tone, that is unacceptable,” Wilson said after the game. “You don’t know me to step toward me and point at me. I’m not for that (expletive) at all … That there is unacceptable. How he gets back in the game because they said he didn’t do anything, of course he did.”
Wilson could still face further punishment from the league.
On Wednesday morning, Sophie Cunningham seemingly called for further punishment for Wilson, hinting at the WNBA’s rulebook, which states that a player entering the stands is worthy of an automatic ejection.
“according to the rule book….” she posted on TikTok.
