Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, showed her approval for Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham’s post after their Game 2 win against the Las Vegas Aces.
The Fever forced a do-or-die Game 3 against the defending WNBA champions following a 99-89 win in Game 2 on Tuesday.
Cunningham celebrated the victory by sharing some photos and videos on her Instagram account.
“series tied,” Cunningham’s caption read.
The highlight of the post was her pregame outfit for Tuesday’s contest. The 6-foot-1 guard, who finished with four points and two rebounds, was wearing a body-hugging white short-sleeve mini dress. She matched it with white strappy pointed-toe heels and black sunglasses.
Her latest fashion statement immediately drew reactions from fans and several notable figures. Among them was Brittany Mahomes.
“🔥🔥🔥,” she wrote.
The two have supported each other on social media. Cunningham is also a longtime Chiefs fan.
The Fever improved their shooting from the field on Tuesday, shooting 52.1%, up from just 44.8% in Game 1.
They also clamped down on the Aces on defense, holding the defending champs to just 42.4% from the field, down from 59.4% in Game 1.
Cunningham and the Fever are looking to steal Game 3 on Thursday. However, they will be on the road as the Aces own home-court advantage. Tipoff from Michelob ULTRA Arena is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. ET on USA Network.
The winner of this do-or-die matchup will advance to the semifinals, where they will face either the Golden State Valkyries or the Dallas Wings.
