One of the best acquisitions the Milwaukee Brewers made ahead of the 2026 season was acquiring left-hander Kyle Harrison from the Boston Red Sox.
Harrison had struggled to establish himself as a capable big-league starter during his time not only in Boston but also with the San Francisco Giants, where he originally debuted.
That is all a distant memory now, as he has fully broken out in his first season in Milwaukee. The Brewers have continued to churn out quality arms with their pitching coaches seemingly unlocking players other teams could not.
Entering Wednesday's start against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Harrison owned a 3.01 ERA across 17 starts with 101 strikeouts in 83 2/3 innings of work.

Wednesday's start against Pittsburgh marked Harrison's first in nearly a month after experiencing left forearm tightness that led to a 15-day injured list stint back in early July.
Unfortunately, just like his last start back in July, he was unable to finish the game. Harrison departed after just five innings and 69 total pitches.
The Brewers announcing the reason for his early exit moments later. "Kyle Harrison left the game with cramping in both calves," reported Adam McCalvy of MLB.com.
Even though it is unfortunate that Harrison went down again, at least it was not a reaggravation of his previous left arm injury and instead appears to be a more manageable issue.
Before leaving, Harrison was dominant, striking out 10 Pirates hitters while allowing zero runs and just one hit.
Manager Pat Murphy will speak with reporters after the game and provide another update on Harrison's condition and whether he will be available for his next turn in the rotation.
