Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang is one of the most valuable players on the roster.
The 26-year-old was a liability offensively throughout his first two big-league seasons from 2023 to 2024, and the only reason he kept his starting job was because of his platinum glove defense.
However, in the two seasons since then his offensive game has come around. This year across 115 games, Turang has posted a .268 batting average, .360 on-base percentage, .810 OPS, 16 home runs and 76 RBIs.
He has been a major reason why Milwaukee sits in first place in the National League Central by a wide margin.

Turang was not included in Thursday's lineup card ahead of the series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Instead, David Hamilton drew the start at second base, hitting ninth in the order.
When speaking with reporters before the game, manager Pat Murphy delivered an unfortunate update on Turang's condition.
Turang is dealing with a sore right knee. He had an MRI on Thursday and is getting a second opinion to determine what is causing the discomfort, though Murphy confirmed he will not need surgery.
Murphy did not commit to Turang returning to the lineup Friday either. "We don't know how long," Murphy said (h/t Adam McCalvy of MLB.com).
With Turang's availability in question, this is very troubling for Milwaukee. The Brewers are already without rookie shortstop Cooper Pratt, leaving the middle infield shorthanded for the foreseeable future.
Ji-Hwan Bae was added to help with depth, but as October gets closer the Brewers are starting to get banged up at the worst possible time.
