Sophie Cunningham has quickly become one of the most important players on the Indiana Fever roster since arriving ahead of the 2025 season. She helped the franchise win the 2025 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup and has grown into one of the team’s most trusted veterans around Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston.
This season Cunningham is averaging 9.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists off the bench. While the 29-year-old guard has contributed immensely to the team’s success on the court, she has also emerged as a vocal locker-room presence, a trait that has made her a fan favorite in Indianapolis.

The eight-year veteran has become one of the team’s more visible personalities off the floor, whether through interviews, social media or her growing national profile alongside Clark and the rest of Indiana’s core.
Her visibility, however, has also brought some unwanted attention.
On Wednesday, Max Lewis of Fox 59 reported that a man has been charged with stalking Cunningham. According to public court documents, 49-year-old Kevin Singh was charged in Marion County with one count of stalking, one count of intimidation and a misdemeanor count of harassment.
The development has immediately raised concern around player safety given Indiana’s recent history with similar incidents.
This is the second time in the last 18 months that a person has been charged with stalking a Fever player. In January 2025, a Texas man was arrested and later sentenced to prison after stalking Clark and sending her threatening and sexually explicit messages, according to ESPN. He was sentenced in July 2025 after pleading guilty to stalking and harassment charges.
