Breaking: LeBron James Agrees To Contract With Philadelphia 76ers

In a stunning turn of events, LeBron James is taking his talents to the Philadelphia 76ers.

ESPN insider Shams Charania just broke the news that James is heading to the 76ers. He's agreed to a two-year, $8 million deal that includes a player option. Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul confirmed this shocking news.

There was so much smoke surrounding the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat during the sweepstakes for LeBron. In the end though, he chose to join forces with Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey in Philadelphia.

Earlier this month, ESPN insider Brian Windhorst said Philly's point guard could lead James to the City of Brotherly Love.

“A key factor in any sort of Philadelphia pursuit of LeBron is Tyrese Maxey,” Windhorst said. “Not only because of his talent, which is awesome, but he’s one of Klutch’s core clients. He’s basically a part of LeBron’s extended family.”

Favorites in the East?

Even though James is 41 years old, he's still one of the best in the league. He proved his worth this past postseason, averaging 23.2 points and 7.3 assists per game.

On paper, the 76ers are expected to start Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, Jaylen Brown, LeBron James and Joel Embiid this upcoming season.

The 76ers have to figure out how their star-studded lineup will work from a schematic standpoint, but they have the talent to win the NBA Finals.
