He may work for a Boston radio station, but Mike Felger is a longtime Green Bay Packers fan. Or at least, he was until this past Sunday.
After the Packers blew a 12-point lead and wound up losing 39-22 to a Vikings team that was forced to change quarterbacks mid-game, Felger was one of many fans complaining about it on Monday.
During his spot on 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston, Felger declared that he is now boycotting the team in response to how bad the team looked. He said that he is “walking away” from the team and has “better things to do” than watch them play.

“I’m not really going to watch them this year,” Felger said. “I’m done. I’m walking away from the Packers. Watching that team since I was a little boy, every week, ride or die, good times or bad, I swear to God, I’m gonna check out this year. I swear to God. I have better things to do with my time.”
His opinion might change after this weekend though. The Packers head to MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Jets in a game where his (now former) favorite team will be favored by four points.
One would think that a convincing win (even if it’s against one of the league’s less impressive franchises) will be just the medicine the fanbase needs to stop stressing.
Of course, if his Packers find a way to come up short against the Jets, maybe there will wind up being more fans than Felger rather than fewer.

The Packers have not started a season 0-2 since all the way back in 2006. Head coach Matt LaFleur was still coaching QBs at Western Michigan and Brett Favre was still throwing passes to Donald Driver back then.
It’s safe to say that Packers fans will probably be out for blood if they find themselves ending a 20-year run without an 0-2 start.
