It's graduation month across the United States.
High schoolers and college students are getting their degrees this month, as they celebrate their achievements. Boston College's football program recently celebrated the graduation of some of their players.
Boston College boasted that the "work paid off" while showcasing a photoshoot of some graduating players. However, one Boston College graduate rocked AirPods on stage, as he received his diploma.
Some found it funny, while others found it "disrespectful."
Jude Bowry, a former Boston College star drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, is now a college graduate.
That's obviously worth celebrating.
But wearing headphones on stage? It sparked a debate on social media.
College graduate's outfit choice sparks debate
Photos of the former Boston College star wearing AirPods on stage sparked a lot of debate online.
"My grandma would’ve whooped my butt," one fan wrote.
"Mom is going to get on him," one fan added.
"Disrespectful," one shared.
Others, meanwhile, joked that college graduation ceremonies are so long, that headphones are probably necessary.
"Not ridiculous, that ceremony is too long," one added.
"I understand during the ceremony (it's) boring," one fan added. "But when u go up to get the diploma take them off bro."
Still, Bowry had a college career worth celebrating, as Boston College noted after he was picked by the Buffalo Bills:
- 62nd BC offensive lineman drafted since 1960
- Third consecutive draft where a BC offensive lineman was taken, Fourth draft in the last 5 years
- 26th BC player taken in the fourth round of the NFL Draft all-time
- Seventh BC player taken by the Buffalo Bills all-time
But what do you make of his college graduation outfit choice?
