Former ESPN star Bomani Jones is getting called out for his controversial opinion on former No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick Matthew Stafford.

Stafford, a No. 1 overall pick out of Georgia, has won one Super Bowl championship, leading the Rams to a title. He's looking to add championship No. 2 this year. The Rams are set to take on the Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game, with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line.

But Jones, known for his time on "Around the Horn" and "Highly Questionable" at ESPN, is calling out Stafford ahead of this weekend.

ESPN.

"He's the new Josh Allen," Jones said about Stafford. "He's the least scrutinized No. 1 pick in the history of No. 1 overall picks.

"If the Rams don't win the Super Bowl, shut this Hall of Fame thing up."

NFL fans are not happy with Jones' take

"Matthew Stafford is already a HOF quarterback. End of story," one fan wrote.

"Bad take," one fan added.

"Stafford is SB winner, MVP favorite for this season and is a top 5-10 in many QB stats in history including #1 in most Rams history. He's a HOF," one fan added.

"Seattle has a really good team, probably the most balanced team in the NFL. That’s no “easy” task. Not sure this take is valid??" one fan added.

"This is a bad take," one fan added.

Would you place Stafford into the Hall of Fame?
