The Philadelphia Eagles always seem to find themselves at the forefront of media controversy, even when things are going well.
Star wide receiver A.J. Brown made headlines during Philadelphia’s Super Bowl run in 2024 when he publicly criticized the passing offense and was caught reading a book on the sidelines during one of the final games of the season.
Many people assumed his comments were a shot at quarterback Jalen Hurts, but a championship was enough to smooth over any hard feelings.
However, these complaints resurfaced this past season when Brown had less than 200 total receiving yards through the Eagles’ first five games.

The former All-Pro wideout caused commotion throughout the season, with frequent comments to the media about his lack of involvement in the offense and cryptic social media posts.
While nothing has been confirmed, Brown’s frustrations have led some to believe that he will split with the Eagles in the offseason.
ESPN reporter Bill Barnwell created 11 different trade scenarios in a recent article, and one had the star pass-catcher heading to the Denver Broncos along with a fifth-round pick in this year’s NFL Draft.
In this trade, Philadelphia would receive talented, but flawed cornerback Riley Moss, a second-round pick and a fifth-round pick.

This would be a win for both sides on paper, as it would open up some money for the Eagles to pay some of the elite, young talent they have on defense, as well as solidifying their No. 2 cornerback spot.
For the Broncos, it would give them a bonafide go-to option in the passing game and give their offense some explosion with the addition of one of the best deep threats in the NFL.
There is no indication that Brown or the Eagles want to explore a trade, but it’s no secret that he hasn’t been a happy camper the last few seasons.
If Philadelphia does decide to ship him out, then they would be hard-pressed to find another deal with better value than this.
