The Buffalo Bills signed offensive lineman O'Cyrus Torrence to a four-year, $78.4 million extension, locking him up till 2030. The Bills are solidifying their offensive line, as four of the five spots have been locked up till at least 2027.
Torrence's contract guarantees him $46 million, as per ESPN's Adam Schefter, making him the seventh-highest-paid player at his position in the league. The 26-year-old is widely regarded as one of the most dependable linemen in the league, and securing his extension will go a long way in protecting the Bills' star quarterback, Josh Allen.
The Bills selected the 6-foot-5 offensive lineman in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, and he has been a model of consistency ever since. Torrence has appeared in all 17 regular-season games in each of his first three NFL seasons while also making seven playoff appearances.

Bills' head coach Joe Brady had nothing but praise for his offensive lineman during his press conference ahead of practice on Friday. Brady described Torrence as "one of the top guards in football."
"He's one of the top guards in football," Beane told Ian Rapoport. "He was out there through every injury. He's as tough as it gets."
He further continued: "The No. 1 thing we want to do is we want to be strong up front...We want to protect No. 17 (QB Josh Allen). That's where it all starts."
Josh Allen, the quarterback who has enjoyed the protection provided by Torrence, praised the offensive lineman and called him the "ultimate teammate."
"He deserves every penny," Allen said, as per ESPN. "Cybo's just that guy on the team where you ask anybody, I don't think anybody could say a bad thing about O'Cyrus Torrence. And he's the ultimate teammate."
Signing one of the most important pieces to a long-term extension is seen by many analysts as shrewd business by the Bills. According to Bleacher Report's Gary Davenport, the offensive lineman was on the list of the league's "Most Important Contract Decisions" ahead of the training camp.
Torrence began his collegiate career at Louisiana-Lafayette, where he earned second-team All-Sun Belt honors as a sophomore. He later transferred to Florida and enjoyed a standout 2022 season, earning consensus All-American recognition during his lone year with the Gators.
