UNC Tar Heels head coach Bill Belichick got a vote of confidence from the school earlier this week. The school remains confident that Belichick is the right man for the job.
“Coach Belichick continues to have our support, the support of the administration and of the board [of trustees],” North Carolina chancellor Lee Roberts said, via Brian Murphy of WRAL. “He understands that that support comes with expectations around conduct and behavior.”
Belichick and the Tar Heels have gotten off to a solid start this season, going 2-1 through three games.
However, this weekend, Belichick is facing some blowback for a decision he made on a recruiting trip with his 25-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.

Belichick was spotted on a recruiting trip with his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.
“6-time Super Bowl champion and North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick was in the press box for the Archbishop Spalding-Gilman game on Friday night in Severn, MD. His girlfriend Jordan Hudson was with him throughout the game,” Avi-Carr Gloth shared on X.
“The Tar Heels are off this week, but Belichick was still working. I’m told there are several prospects in the game that he had his eye on. He came well before the 7PM kickoff and left at the end of the third quarter during Spalding’s 32-0 blowout.”
But should Hudson be on the recruiting trip, too?
Belichick criticized for bringing his young girlfriend with him
Yahoo! Sports writer Dan Wolken criticized Belichick for bringing his girlfriend with him on the recruiting trip.
“Don’t let the sunglasses or the upside down letter hat distract you from the fact that Belichick brought his girlfriend to go recruit,” he shared on X.
Should the head coach be bringing his young girlfriend on a recruiting trip like that?
