The Chicago Bears enjoyed a positive surge in form with Caleb Williams under center. Thanks to the second-year QB's leadership and play, the Bears finished at the top of the NFC North for the first time in seven seasons.
The former USC Trojan played a huge role in the team's successful season as he threw for 3,942 passing yards and 27 touchdowns. While his completion rate (58.1%) still needs a bit of work, he kept the game safe as he only threw seven picks throughout the 2025 campaign. He was also solid on the ground, rushing for 388 yards and and three TDs on five yards per carry.

The on-field chemistry between Williams and head coach Ben Johnson was also apparent. The offensive unit are ranked top ten both in points scored (ninth) and yards gained (sixth) for the first time since 2013.
While their defense still needs work, Williams is already looking forward to the 2026 NFL season, even making a bold declaration in the process.
Caleb Williams Wants the Bears to Be the NFL's Top Offense in 2026
The 24-year-old field general made a guest appearance at "The Rush with Maxx Crosby" where he talked about football and life with the popular Las Vegas Raiders defensive end. The conversation veered to the Bears' incredible 2025 season, and Williams discussed his vision for the team in the coming year.
“I really want to become the greatest offense this year, that’s really on my mind," Williams said. "Being able to find ways to put up points every single time we’re out there,”
The team's revamped rushing game played a big role in the Bears' on-field success. The team's De'Andre Swift-Kyle Monangai duo rushed for a combined 1,870 of the team's third-ranked 2,456 rushing yards. However, they have to be more productive with their red-zone efficiency as their 19 rushing TDs only rank ninth.
Given how effective Johnson is with planning offensive schemes and how dangerous Williams is in and out of the pocket, fans can expect more highlights from the Bears next season.
