One of the NFL's biggest offseason storylines appears to have taken yet another turn.

As rumors of an impending Maxx Crosby trade continue to swirl, the five-time Pro Bowl EDGE has been linked to numerous AFC and NFC contenders.

However according to the latest betting odds from DraftKings Sportsbook, a team that was just three points away from reaching last year's conference title game has jumped to the front of the line for Crosby's services.

Chicago Bears new favorites for Maxx Crosby trade

DraftKings reportedly has the Bears as (+200) favorites to secure a trade for the Raiders' best player. With five teams: the Bills, Cowboys, Eagles, Rams and Ravens all clustered together at (+700) in that next tier of organizations in the mix.

The online gambling company also sees it as a (+350) proposition that Crosby will return to Sin City. Even though FOX's Jay Glazer shared during Super Bowl week that the star pass rusher was "done" with the Silver and Black.

The Raiders are said to be looking for two first-round picks and a player in exchange for Crosby. And the Patriots (+1000), Lions and Buccaneers (+1200) currently have the longest odds of the franchises that have been linked to the former fourth-round pick.

NFL insider says Maxx Crosby 'makes sense' for Bears

On Monday's "Rich Eisen Show," NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero spoke on the Maxx Crosby situation and why he thinks the two-time second-team All-Pro could be a really good fit for Ben Johnson and Co.

"If I'm thinking who are the teams that make sense for Maxx Crosby, a few that would come to mind would be the Chicago Bears — a team that people will remember swung another trade with the Raiders for a pretty high-profile pass rusher in Khalil Mack some years ago," Pelissero explained.

"They feel like they're close, they were right there at the end in the playoffs," the NFL Media reporter continued. "Could Maxx Crosby be somebody that puts them over the top and elevates that pass rush? I think that would be a fit."

Crosby is coming off yet another double-digit sack season despite missing the last two games after being shut down by his own front office.

Chicago is definitely in need of some defensive help — which the Las Vegas star could provide in spades. But what will they be willing to give up to acquire that dominant force off the edge?
