Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy announced on Wednesday evening that his company's gaming team, Telluride Bush Gaming, was involved in a car accident in the United Kingdom.
Portnoy, who founded Barstool Sports in 2003 in Milton, Massachusetts, said that his gaming team, which features personalities like Lil Sas, Jersey Jerry and Mook, traveled to London for an event. He got a text message from his company's corporate lawyer on Wednesday evening, revealing that they were in a car accident.
"You absolutely can’t make this up. Just got this text from our corporate lawyer. The most predictable thing ever from the morons," Portnoy announced.
"That’s what I get for paying for these fools to go to London."

According to the text message shared by Portnoy, the Telluride Bush Gaming team traveled to London for a Call of Duty event.
The team rented a van for their trip and was involved in an accident on Wednesday evening. All of the employees inside of the vehicle are reportedly OK. The woman involved in the crash is reportedly OK, too.
"The rental got messed up and the airbag went off but fortunately sounds like everyone is OK," the lawyer's text message read.
"They hit another car but driver said she was OK too. And yes it was because they were driving on the wrong side of the road (you can't make this up)."
The lawyer was asking Portnoy if he thinks the team should be talking about the accident publicly. The lawyer suggested that the woman involved in the crash probably doesn't know who the Barstool guys are. However, if a viral clip - or, in this case, a tweet from Portnoy - were to go viral, that could change things.
Of course, with Portnoy tweeting it out, he appears to have made his decision on whether or not to make the accident content.
The Barstool team had been tweeting out videos of their driving experience
Earlier on Wednesday, the Telluride Bush Gaming team had been tweeting out videos of their driving experience in London, revealing that they were having some problems getting used to things.
"Jerry is NOT having a good time driving through London," the account tweeted out in a video that received more than 300,000 views.
The gaming team has been having some success growing on social media, with close to 40,000 followers on X and 36,000 subscribers on YouTube.
The latest incident in the U.K. is sure to increase attention, too, though it's not in the most ideal way.
