It’s being reported that Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman was arrested earlier in the offseason.
According to TMZ, Bateman is being accused of family violence in Georgia. He had a dispute with the mother of his child, which allegedly led to him smashing the windows of her car. This incident happened on June 3 at around 6 a.m. local time.
“Authorities claim Rashod used an object to break the windshield and driver’s side window of the alleged victim’s 2021 Benz,” TMZ reported. “According to the arrest warrant, glass shattered and caused multiple small lacerations to the alleged victim’s face. The officer noted they saw some glass in her face when talking to her and multiple contusions to her face.”
What makes this situation really disturbing is that Bateman’s 3-month-old was allegedly sitting in the back row of the car.
Apparently, Bateman surrendered to the Walton County Sheriff on June 3.

The timing of this story is concerning for Bateman.
Just hours ago, NFL insider Aaron Wilson said the Houston Texans have interest in trading for Bateman. They lost No. 2 wideout Jayden Higgins to a torn ACL earlier this week.
Since going pro in 2021, Bateman has hauled in 157 passes for 2,147 yards and 15 touchdowns. While he has been productive, it’s possible this situation affects his status for Week 1 of the season.
The Ravens have not yet commented on Bateman’s status for their season opener.
