One week before performing at halftime of the Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, global music star Bad Bunny was making headlines at the 2026 Grammys.
The Puerto Rican artist won three Grammy awards total and took home Album of the Year for his 2025 record "Debi Tirar Mas Fotos." In his acceptance speech, he dedicated the award to "all the people who have had to leave their homeland, their country, to follow their dreams."
Fans were interested in more than Bad Bunny's music and what he said at the Grammys. Since breaking up with Kendall Jenner in 2024, Bad Bunny has not been in a public relationship — but that was thrown into question when he showed up to the red carpet with an unmissable Cartier ring on his left ring finger.

Theories emerged that Bad Bunny could have secretly gotten engaged to one of his exes like Jenner or rekindled his romance with longtime girlfriend Gabriela Berlingeri, who he dated on-and-off from 2017 to 2022. Berlingeri appeared to have attended the Grammys, as she posted a photo with a wristband from Crypto.com Arena, where the awards show was held.

After a day of heavy scrutiny, TMZ squashed the Bad Bunny engagement rumors with a report confirming his relationship status as single heading into the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show on Sunday.
"A source familiar with the situation tells TMZ the global superstar is not engaged," the report said on Monday. "Our source says Bad Bunny isn’t dating anyone at the moment, making the engagement speculation completely out of nowhere."
TMZ's source said the ring was a gift from Cartier, not an engagement ring or a family heirloom.
The last time Bad Bunny performed at the Super Bowl in 2020 as a guest act with headliners Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, he also had a ring on his left ring finger and painted his nails silver to match his outfit.
If something similar happens this Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, at around 8 p.m. ET, do not get sucked into the speculation. Bad Bunny is a just single man who loves wearing jewelry.
