Bad Bunny's fell short of the record for most-watched Super Bowl halftime show, but the "Titi Me Pregunto" singer still managed to make history.

A year ago, Kendrick Lamar made history when his halftime show averaged 133.5 million viewers. His halftime show narrowly defeated a record (133.4 million viewers) previously set by the late Michael Jackson in 1993.

According to Nielsen's Big Data + Panel rating system, Bad Bunny's halftime show on NBC averaged 128.2 million viewers. That makes it the fourth-most-watched halftime show in Super Bowl history.

So what history did Bad Bunny make on Sunday night? For starters, Telemundo's telecast of Super Bowl LX peaked with an average of 4.8 million viewers during the Grammy Award winner's halftime show.

"Telemundo averaged 3.3 million viewers, marking the most-watched Super Bowl in U.S. Spanish-language history," Alex Sherman of CNBC said. "Telemundo’s audience peaked during the halftime show, with an average of 4.8 million viewers – the most-watched Super Bowl halftime in Spanish-language history."

Bad Bunny also broke the record for most watched Super Bowl halftime show on YouTube in 24 hours, surpassing Shakira and Jennifer Lopez's show from 2020.

It's also being reported that Bad Bunny's show generated over 4 billion social views in the first 24 hours. If that number is accurate, that would make it the most-consumed halftime show in NFL history.

Who'll headline next year's Super Bowl halftime show?

There was a rumor floating around on social media this week that Karol G, Camila Cabello and Becky G will perform at Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium. That doesn't seem to be accurate at this time.

Interestingly enough, Miley Cyrus and Cardi B have the best odds on FanDuel to headline next year's halftime show.

Following up Bad Bunny's act won't be easy, but Apple Music has done a great job picking polarizing singers. We have no doubt they'll strike gold yet again.
