Angel Reese continues her strong play for Team USA on Monday. The Atlanta Dream star helped the U.S. defeat the Czech Republic in a dominant 105-64 win. The 6-foot-4 forward had 13 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals in 19 minutes of action.
Reese has been a key contributor for Team USA in her FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup debut. In three group stage games, she is averaging 8.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks. She is also playing an average of just 17.2 minutes a game, providing energy off the bench.
Head coach Kara Lawson even spoke highly of the two-time WNBA rebounding leader. She lauded Reese for always finding a way to impact the game.
The Dream also celebrated their star player’s performance against the Czech Republic. The team shared an update on Reese’s World Cup campaign, sharing her stats from the latest win.

Reese has had her struggles with shooting in her two years in the WNBA, averaging 42.7% from the field. However, she has been efficient for Team USA in the past three games, shooting 57.1% overall.
The Americans are now waiting for their quarterfinals opponent, with Japan and Hungary vying for that spot. The quarterfinal game is scheduled for Thursday.
Reese and Co. are the four-time defending champions, and Team USA is looking to make it five in a row in this year’s edition of the World Cup.
