Angel Reese watched on as Allisha Gray and the Atlanta Dream fell to 13-10 on the 2026 WNBA season after suffering a 102-92 loss to Megan Gustafson and the Portland Fire (10-13) on Saturday in Atlanta. The Dream will look to bounce back on Monday when they face the Los Angeles Sparks (10-11) but may be without their star once again.
Atlanta was one of the best teams to begin the season, opening with a 12-4 record. However, a five-game losing streak kind of derailed that. But Reese has still played her part in 22 appearances, averaging 15.0 points, 11.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, becoming a three-time WNBA All-Star.

But in Thursday's 89-78 win over the Seattle Storm, Reese was forced to leave the game with 1:20 remaining in the fourth quarter after rolling her ankle and exiting with a noticeable limp. While the former Chicago Sky forward was initially listed as questionable for Saturday's loss to the Fire, she was later ruled out, marking the first game she has missed this season.
And the leg injury may continue to impact Atlanta going forward. On Sunday, the Dream listed Reese on the injury report as questionable with a "right leg" injury, potentially leaving Atlanta without one of its three All-Stars once again.
Along with Reese, forward Brionna Jones, who has been out all season with a knee injury, has also been listed as questionable. Cameron Brink and Kelsey Plum remain out for the Sparks.
"Angel Reese (right leg) is questionable for tomorrow’s matchup against the Sparks," USA Today's Meghan L. Hall wrote on X. "Bri Jones (right knee) is also questionable. Jones was listed as doubtful ahead of Portland matchup on July 11."
The Dream will host the Sparks on Monday at 7:00 p.m. ET before hitting the road to face the Toronto Tempo on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
