World Cup fans are fed up with alleged preferential officiating given to Lionel Messi and Argentina against Egypt on Tuesday.
Argentina is trailing Egypt, 1-0, in a Round of 16 game on Tuesday afternoon in Atlanta. However, Argentina should probably be down, 2-0. Egypt scored a brilliant goal on a long run, but after a VAR review, the goal was called off, as the ref determined that Egypt committed a foul long before the goal was scored.
Unsurprisingly, it was a highly controversial call. It's sure to make headlines throughout the day on Tuesday.
Soccer fans, unsurprisingly, are not happy. Argentina, which won the 2022 World Cup, is being accused of getting preferential treatment.
