A deadly blizzard that left thousands without power and made life hell for millions more has given way to an historic "arctic blast" that will make it hard to go outside on Sunday.
According to ABC News, temperatures are slated to drop below the single digits in the Northeast and will bring subzero temperatures to places like Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and the New England states.
"With low temperatures down to the single digits for most in the Northeast and the winds continuing to howl, wind chills will be subzero across all of the Northeast.
"Extreme Cold Warnings are in effect across much of the Northeast, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont."

Notably, New York City is expected to see wind chills that will drop the temperature to the negative-tens. At such temperatures, dangerous frostbite can occur within minutes of bare skin being exposed to the cold. Boston and Buffalo are also experiencing severe weather not seen in a decade or more.
"New York City is experiencing its coldest winter in more than 20 years. The last time it was this cold through the first week of February was back in the winter of 2002-2003. Boston is experiencing its coldest winter in over a decade," the outlet reported.
Mercifully, things are slated to improve in the days ahead. Much warmer weather (and more appropriate for this time of year) is expected to circulate across the East and will hopefully signify an upcoming end to an especially wretched winter.
But don't stop being prepared until the cold is truly gone.
